  1. Beautiful views! I am a (much) older runner that is back into running since retiring. I am getting lots of motivation from your blog. Thanks for taking the time to document your running life and giving me the push to get out the door. Please keep it up!

    1. That’s fantastic! I met a woman at the start of the Heartbreak Hill half marathon who was in her SEVENTIES and started talking to me because I had a “no meat athlete” shirt on and she’s been a vegetarian for over thirty years. I was completely in awe of her… I so hope that I’m still running after I reach retirement age. That’s one of the reasons I love the lower impact exercise of cross training… it’s said to be a good idea to help reduce risk of injury and keep me running the rest of my life! Best wishes to you – what an awesome way to spend retirement. 🙂

  2. Gee it’s beautiful where you run! It makes such a difference running in nature where it’s pretty and there’s something interesting to look at to take our minds off the plodding of our feet on the road! I am very fortunate to be able to run along a fabulous waterfront from Ocean Beach to Ettalong Beach (if you wanted to Google it :-), but I am not very game to stop and take pics cos I am not sure I would carry on running again!

    1. It is gorgeous! I wish we could magically switch places for a long run, it’d be so fun to swap scenery!
